Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and would appreciate some advice.

My car needs a good decon. I already own clay as well as Ultima Elastrofoam block which works well but I keep hearing the praises of the PolyShave system so I have a question. I can't decide between the towel vs the disc (I have a Griots DA polisher with 5" backing plate).

Does anybody have any thoughts on using the disc vs the towel? Any specific uses for each or does it just boil down to personal preference?

I have a second question. When would I use Iron-X spray vs Iron-X paste? I'm wondering why one wouldn't just use the paste all the time.

Thanks, guys.

On the ironx spray vs paste. The paste is more concentrated but you will not get into all the nooks and crannies as the spray will. I spray the vehicle down with iron x. then when i wipe in (while on the paint) I also add some paste to my MM Incredimitt...to give a boost. Work very well

I personally love the towel...very versatile...can shape every which way...get in spots the disc and block cant. Although I would suggest for perfected cars you stick with an ultra fine clay bar for those special circumstances...in order to minimize to the max the potential of marring. oh, and also use carpro immolube for the clay lube

I rarely use the disc. I personally prefer the towel. I can "hear" and "feel" the process better.
I suggest using Immolube (diluted) with the CarPro PolyShave Decon Towel. It works GREAT!

I like to wash the vehicle with CarPro Iron X Snow Soap then spray the vehicle with CarPro Iron X See directions...
Rinse the Iron X spray completely off all areas that were sprayed before you begin using the Immolube & towel.
In some cases, I use a wax sponge to lightly smear the Iron X I sprayed on the paint before I completely rinse it.
If you then use an ultra fine clay bar (even a white bar), you should find very few contaminants on the clay bar.
