Hey guys. I just got 3 new Madness towels (2 crazy piles and 1 dry me crazy). I see where it says to wash before first use. My question is: can I wash in a bucket since 3 towels doesn't even qualify as a small load? I have Pinnacle MF Detergent if that info is needed.

If I can wash in a 5 gal bucket, anyone have a rough estimate as to how much detergent for about 3-4 gallons of water? All the bottle says is how many ounces to use in the washing machine for a large and small load.

As always, thank you very much!

I am sure you figured this out by now and I would have expected some response on this. I wash all new microfiber with a dedicated MF detergent before first use.

I would not. I would spring the 50 cents and use your washer. To many unknown variables using a bucket wash... Or if you would rather wait till you have a few more MF towels to wash with them. I wash only 2 or 3 towels at a time often, (dedicated towels for dedicated jobs).

^^^^ what Tadman said! Always best to wash towels first to be in best practice and remove any doubts. Also remember not to wash different colors first few times or whites will get color bleed

I can't count the number of times I've spent an entire washer load on one microfiber towel. I won't even wash different brands of similar towels mingle.

Wash them first. Separate the colors. Trust me. And after you use them the first time dont let the different colors sit in a bucket for very long if at all. Ask me how I know. I'll probably still wash the Madness towels separate for a long time. I've spent that much $$ on them. I'm gonna take care of them. FYI, i've got a beautiful DryMeCrazy that looks like it was getting it on with a Summit800. Broke my heart.

I also agree with washing them. I however never use dedicated detergents. I use All free and Clear with Heinz cleaning Vinegar in the fabric softener area. I always wash in hot water. Never have any trouble with towels as some probably have over 100 washes with this method.
