Pure Gold Indeed (S3 w/ Spider Pad)

DARK HORSE

I've seen a lot of talk lately about Scholl Concepts S3 http://www.carpro-us.com/scholl-concepts-s3-gold-high-performance-compound-35oz/ paired with a spider pad http://www.carpro-us.com/scholl-concepts-6-1-2-spider-sandwich-pad/ Here's what we are currently working on. This is a 2004 GMC truck that's spent it's entire life being an off road truck in the mountains of southeast Idaho. It's seen it's share of sage brush and pine trees.. This is S3 (a little bit goes a LONG ways)! Paired with a Spider pad. This is only a few passes with the Flex 3401. I'll get some sun shots up later so you can see how well this combo finshed down on this paint. The clarity (especially for a one step is incredible)! To anyone sitting on the fence about trying this combo, PULL the trigger! It is amazing!:

S3 and spider pad rocking it again...
Here's something else we worked on today using S3 with a spider pad. Awesome one step to say the least, (notice how well it finished down, even on the black sections).

Also, really enjoying my Zach inspired lights, thanks again Zach!

Here's a few more shots.

All finished, and Cquartz curing in the sun...

Really nice results DARK HORSE. I love S3 but need to get some Spider Pads to use with it.

Great results! Amazing combo, I'm using it more than microfiber.

TAD, you are a badass!!! NICE JOB!! 5" or 6" pads? How did you prime the pad? How did you work it with the 3401(speed, etc..)?

Mark you are one badass'd dude yourself!!! Long time no talk with my friend, I hope all is well with you buddy!! I prime spider pads much differently than I usually prime other pads. I put several very small/tiny dots of polish all over the pad, then spread it around the paint gently with out turning the polisher on. Then I turn the polisher on speed 2-3 and continue to spread the polish across the area I intend to work. Then I bump the speed up to 5 and work it with moderate pressure. About half way through the buffing cycle I decrease the pressure (but still hold the polisher firmly to the paint), and decrease the speed to between 3 and 4. After buffing off the very slight remaining residue, I clean my pad with a stiff nylon brush, and for a 6" pad apply 5 pea size drops for each additional section.

Hey. I've been using S3 for a little bit now. I'm having trouble with wiping it off. I use it with a flex 3401 and orange b-n-s pad. Any suggestions? Looking for a compound that's easy to use. Thanks
