Question about maintenance

Greetings im new to the forum but I have been a fan of CarPro products during the last few months. I will be applying CQuartz UK 3 and Gliss soon to my black BMW 535i. My question is regarding the recommended plan to maintain it. I use my car daily for work but the travel length is about only 15 minutes. I already got the following products:

  • Reset with the Merino Wool Wash Mitt
  • IronX, TarX, Spotless, and IronX Snow Soap
  • Reload (also have Reload mixed with Ech2o and diluted water as a QD)

I want to know when should I use IronX, IronX Snow Soap, TarX, and Spotless and which order. Every 3 months approximately be a good time according to my drive habits?

Thanks

For me the basic maintenance items are...
(I understand you already have a few of these items)

CarPro Reset Car Wash 500ml (17oz)
Grit Guard Insert
CarPro Merino Wool Wash Mitt
Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy (25" x 17")
Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile (16" x 16")

Pre coating
IronX
I use IronX after your prep-wash (before the coating)
I recommend "claying" after IronX is thoroughly rinsed off.

TarX
CarPro Tar X is a professional strength tar, adhesive, and bug remover as well as a degreaser.
Use this to clean off "stuff" that is stuck on the paint surface before polishing and coating.

Spotless
CarPro Spotless chemically breaks down the mineral deposits left behind by water droplets
(Otherwise known as ‘water spots’) before they can etch into the finish
It is a proprietary blend of carefully balanced gentle acids safely removes heavy mineral deposits

..."It can be used to help maintain our CQuartz line of nanotechnology coatings."
"Spotless is a water-spot remover to dissolve unsightly bonded mineral contaminants from your car"

Maintenance
IronX Snow Soap - This washing soap aids in embedded paint contaminant removal.
I personally would use it about once a month to aid in keeping your paint surface clean.

CarPro Reset Car Wash
This is my go-to car wash. If you wash weekly/biweekly this is the product to keep it clean.
"CarPro Reset was formulated as the perfect partner to nanotechnology based sealants and coatings..."
"Reset breaks down road grime and traffic films with the power of an alkaline cleaner, while being as a pH-neutral shampoo.
Reset is almost entirely based upon naturally occurring, organic ingredients, making it as safe for the environment"
"Developed for use with all CarPro Nanotechnology Sealants and Coatings including Reload, Hydro2, and CQuartz.*"
"If necessary, use CarPro Spotless to remove hard water spots, and apply either Reload or Hydro2 to top-up the vehicle’s protection."

Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy
I have used MANY different drying towels over the years and "hands down" this is the best!

NOTE: Quality microfiber towels are a must and the Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile is my favorite.

Merlin gave you some good advice on how to use some of them to do your prep work prior to applying the coating and then maintenance wise.

I am not a fan of the ironx snow foam when I used it. I since use the remaining I have as a wheel soap that works ok for coated wheels. To get the true benefits of it, one needs a pressure washer and foam cannon.

This is how I would prep my vehicle. Simple list of things to do.

1. Ironx/Tarx -> I tend to use this first on dry paint. If the car has not been washed in weeks then I would recommend washing first. If it's been a week then using it first works well and saves time. Use tarx for areas that have tar.
2. Followed by a rinse and wash
3. Dry
4. Clay
5. Polish
6. Prep Wipe
7. Coat

For maintenance this is what I do.
1. Wash with Reset weekly or bi-weekly
2. Dry. A nice towel is good to have. I traditionally use a blower to blow the remaining water off the surface after a sheet rinse.
3. Touch up with Ech20 at 1:20

I don't use Reload with the paint having Gliss on it. Ech20 for me has been working just fine. Just a personal preference as I prefer the hydrophobic properties of Gliss.

For a maintenance decontamination wash using Ironx around the 3-6 month time frame works very well. You can use the snow foam as well since you have that or Reset. I believe tarx is not recommended to use with Gliss but double check that.

My commute is about the same as yours and I decon wash every 6 months or so with my cars parked outside 24/7. Remember that the environment is going to vary. I am in Southern California so my environment will be different than say someone living in New York.

I have not had the need to use spotless.

Thanks to both Merlin and The Guz for such a nice input. The maintenance plan that The Guz provided looks as I thought. Can anyone confirm if I can use TarX over Gliss?

Found it on the product page.

Q. Can I use TarX on the Gliss?

A. No, only for a small quick spot treatment
