Hello everyone! I have a new 2015 black (metallic) Toyota Camry XSE V6 that I had polished and coated with CQ Finest within a few hundred miles of me purchasing it and also, a week before, had an Xpel Ultimate PPF installed on the front bumper and side mirror caps (lifesaver with my highway driving)! With the cold weather and my travel schedule I've only had a chance to have it hand washed 3 times total in the 2.5 months I've had it. Recently, I noticed that with all of the salt/road grime CQF lost some of it's sheeting action and what not so I had the original CQF installer do a freshen up with Reset, Water Spot Remover, and another layer of Finest followed by Reload. So.....I'm confident that it'll be as good as new when I pick it up tomorrow. My question is keeping it maintained 100%. I went ahead and ordered a few bottles of Reset for my normal maintenance washes (was using Adams previously), Iron X Snow Soap for every few months decon/freshen up duties and a bottle of Reload as a topper. I have an Adams Foam Gun and was wondered at what concentration I should use Reset and also what concentration I should use Iron X less frequently. Also, I know with Reset you foam prior to a proper 2 bucket wash but with Iron X Snow Soap, would you do a Reset wash FIRST and then foam with Iron X Snow Soap afterwards since it's a decon? Thanks in advance for all of the help!

Instead of refreshing the original install of finest, you should have be able to get by with a iron x decon and been good, no need to refresh a brand new coating of finest with more finest. If you are gonna by to use iron x snow soap as a decon you would use it straight to the wash media of your choice and wash the vehicle like so. Hope this help you out.

Hey Cammy,

Great advice from Chris.

I use the Iron X every so often, may be once every month and a half, depending on my road trips and exposure to elements. After a long winter, I will use a stronger ratio of soap to water. Here is what is recommended...

Reset has become my go-to soap. In my foam cannon, I use an ounce or two diluted with warm water. As far as the foam gun, try an ounce to start and dilute with warm water. You can always "fine tune" it to your specific cleaning needs.

My normal routine is using Reset in my Foam Cannon, apply and dwell, then 2 bucket with Reset.

Using Iron X snow foam...use it first via foam gun then you can use it in a 2 bucket wash and skip the Reset altogether. Or, Iron X Snow via foam gun then Reset via 2 bucket.

Some other products you may want to have on hand for your maint. needs...

Welcome to the forum. I too used to use Adams.

Thanks for the great advice! I picked my car up today and it looks PERFECT! As it turns out after talking with the detailer he did a Reset wash and used CarPro Water Spot Remover, then Eraser wipe down on the top panels for an additional coat of CQF and Reload on the side panels. I'm very pleased and he did this for free since I've had him do a lot of work for me and I freaked out about how the coating lost it's self cleaning ability.

Per your recommendations I'll do my regular foam gun/2 bucket wash with Reset and when I feel the need (every month and a half or so) I'll substitute in IronX Snow Foam.

Good to hear. Sometimes the coating can get a "build up" on it. I also will use an APC in my cannon to clean off the layer of crud that builds up. That will bring the coating back to life.

I just deconed my wife' s car the other day. I took the small bottle of Iron S.F. straight, no dilution, via my cannon. The coating looked as if it were just applied! The air did stink though...LOL!

I tend to use the Iron X S.F. a little more since the Northeast Corridor backs up to our lot at work. Trains going by 24/7 so a lot of rail dust.
