Product Description:

OBSSSSD™ Paint Seal Final Protectant is the perfect sealant to protect a daily-driven vehicle in all weather conditions. OBSSSSD Paint Seal has been developed to provide an exceptionally deep, wet-looking shine for months while protecting from harsh road salts, oxidation, and detergents. Paint Seal provides superior protection from harsh environmental elements and ultraviolet radiation utilizing the latest next generation polymer technology.

Note: Avoid contact with plastic, vinyl, and rubber as staining may occur. If contact occurs, remove immediately using a damp microfiber towel. Do not use in direct sunlight.

Key Benefits:

ECO Friendly & Bio-degradable
Durable
Provides durable UV protection
Leaves slick, non-stick finish
VOC compliant

Instructions:

For neglected or oxidized surfaces, first use a polish appropriate for the severity of the paint damage. Use OBSSSSD™ Paint Clean for newer paints or surfaces that require light preparation.

Shake well before use.
Make sure the surface is cool, clean, and dry.
Apply 2 dime-sized amounts to a clean dry foam applicator and rub thoroughly onto the surface to create a thin film.
Allow 15 minutes or more for the sealant to dry. This allows proper bonding to occur.
Use a dry microfiber towel, buff until residue is gone.
For an even deeper, wetter-looking shine, apply additional layers after 6 hours.
OBSSSSD™ Paint Seal can also be applied using a dual-action polisher equipped with a soft foam pad.

Recommended Surfaces:

Clear coated surfaces
Painted surfaces

I finally had the opportunity to use it. Unfortunately I will not be able to update with a longevity or durability update as my brother has put this car up for sale. I am also located in Southern California and don't see harsh weather conditions and I would expect that this paint sealant would last most of the year (roughly 6-8 months)

It does come in a nice bottle with a matte label.

Consistency is thinner than other sealants I have used. I did give it a good shake for about a minute which did thicken it some. It comes out of the opening of the bottle rather quickly. I tried to capture it on the foam applicator but it was absorbed pretty quickly. I applied it by hand.

The car was one step polished and sealed with Obssssd paint sealant. Application was straight forward as my brother and I split the car in half and put a thin coat. We let it sit for the recommended time although being in So Cal the sealant was ready to be removed sooner than the recommended time.

Wipe off was a breeze.

It left the paint slick and with a nice shine. I can't say it is close to a carnauba but it does look good. Especially on this polished red paint.

Perhaps if we added another coat it would have given a wetter look. But our goal was to get it ready for sale.

After curing overnight, I sprayed the paint with water from a spray bottle. Beading looks nice and tight. I did not get a video but the sheeting looked really good as well.

Final Thoughts:

Overall I found this to go on rather easily. It was easy to wipe off. It left the surface slick and with a nice shine.

The initial beading and sheeting looks good. As mentioned I will not be able to provide updates once the car is sold off.

It can be purchased here. Give it a try.

Years ago my favorite paint sealant was Blackfire Wet Diamond (back before PBMG bought it).
After PBMG purchased BFWD, the new and improved version was released. (IMHO just not the same)
To me, the new and improved BFWD version was weaker in the "looks" and longevity dept.

OBSSSSD Paint Seal is an easy/on - easy/off paint sealant with very nice "looks" and longevity.
What I really liked about BFWD was the easy of use and the Carnauba "look" (not Saran Wrap).
OBSSSSD Paint Seal IMHO has nailed it in all these categories. "Looks", feel and easy to use.

If you're in the market for a paint sealant (not everybody does a coating) I suggest OBSSSSD Paint Seal.

Just a FYI - I purchased mine, I've used it many times, and I'm happy to have it on the shelf.

Looks like a really nice product!

Thanks for your taking your time to review it :D

I agree that Obssssd is easy on and off. It looks good too. If anything it gave the paint a rich look but not the warm carnuaba glow. Just my personal observation. I used blackfire as well and I was not that impressed with it. It works fine and is one of the easiest to apply and wipe off.

If I get another opportunity I will use obssssd paint seal again.

On a side note my brother has sold the car and the new owner takes ownership on Tuesday as he is flying from another state to pick it up. He has himself a great looking w-body that is protected and looking great.

BFWD has a topper wax called Midnight Sun. (BTW - BFMS was formulated by the same chemist that made Pinnacle Souveran)
This gave the "Wet Ice Over Fire" look but IMHO it took away that slick feeling that BFWD I felt when only BFWD was applied.
You can top a sealant with wax. It would be my guess that wax over OBSSSSD Paint Seal would render "the warm carnuaba glow".
It has long been common practice to apply wax over a sealant. This gives you both the longevity of a sealant & the carnuaba look.

That being said, neither one is my first choice for white. The OBSSSSD Paint Seal "look" on white leaves a nice warm glow.
For white I prefer the bright, shiny, dazzling sparkle "look". IMHO OBSSSSD Paint Seal works perfect for darker colors.

NOTE: IMHO The original formula of BFWD had a better "look" than the new and improved PBMG version.
To quote your original statement. "I agree that OBSSSSD is easy on and off. It looks good too."

It's nice to hear our observations were similar. I'm looking forward to reading your follow up.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and taking the time to do the review.
It was great to hear your feedback.

The car is officially in Vegas at it's new home. I waterless washed it the day before pick up and the beading and sheeting was great during the wash. Beading was nice and tight. Paint was slick to the touch. The new owner liked the look of it and is happy with the purchase. He now has a well protected car for a few months.

Really nice sealant from the short term that I was able to keep an eye on it.
