hey guys, first post on here so I want to introduce myself and ask some starter questions.
First off I live in Alberta Cnd. I drive a 2014 f30 bmw. Car gets detailed every week sometimes twice a week It relaxes me what can I say.lol. Right now as the car sits, my last detail took the car down to nothing with a Maguire's, clay bar, then I went over it with BlackFire, gloss enhancing polish, Then two layers of Black Fires, wet diamond all finish paint protectanct, Once that was applied I then added two layers of Black Fires, midnight sun carnuba wax. Now since the car is a daily driver, and iam in a farming and oil community dust and dirt are everywhere, so I have to go over the car 2-4 times a week with the Meguires Ultimate detailer. Problem is once I go over it with this, the luster from the BlackFire wax is gone, so I have been applying a layer of the carnuba wax every time I use the detailer, so over the course of two months I had over 17 layers of carnuba wax on the car.. Now its winter so I haven't applied any wax to the car but have rinsed the car down at the local car wash and cleaned it with a new microfiber mitt, then dried it with microfiber cloths... ITS so warm in those carwash bays.... When I run my hand over the paint, there is no slipperiness to the finish,, Me thinks the black fire carnuba wax is garbage!!! So my question to you is this
Come april I want to apply two or three layers of cquartz uk, to the car, then hit it with reload.. My problem is I have watched videos on how to due this and I have seen three or four different ways to apply, how to prep the paint, the wait times, what to use to remove the product, how much to use, and when to use reload.. so this is what I plan on doing. Please correct me if iam wrong.
1.) wash car and clay bar paint.
2.) polish car and wipe clean?
3.) go over car with alcohol isopropyl wipe clean.
4.) apply cquartz one panel at a time, let haze, approx. (1 min ??), buff off with new microfiber towel?
5.) repeat step 4 until car is totally done.
6.) wait one hr?, and repeat steps, 4-5,
Now, since this product crystalizes how often should I be throwing away the suede applicator , and should I use a new microfiber cloth for each section that I have removed the product from?
What is reload used for? can I use it daily to clean the dust off my car, can I continue to just use the meguires, ultimate detailer or will that react with the cquartz, I go through, about, 10 bottles of the quick detailer a yr. April to Oct.

Your plan looks pretty solid. I would get some Eraser instead of the alcohol. Reload is a sealant and will last several months by itself. If you're planning on qd'ing your car, look at getting some Ech2o or some Ultima Ultimate Waterless Wash. A 30ml CQ kit will come with 5 4x4 microsuede towels. I'd personally probably buy more and use one on each panel. They're not too pricey.
I'd look into buying some Ech2o, Essence, Essence Plus, Reset and Iron-X snow foam. There is maintenance involved with a coating but its worth it.
Be sure to check out the product description on all the products on the CarPro site. There is a wealth of info there.

First off welcome to the forum.

Seems like all that layering has affected the look of the products you used. Meg's UQD actually leaves a hydrophobic polymer protection behind. So that will leave it's own look and take away from the look a carnauba wax gives.

I would add Eraser as your prep wipe before applying the coating. I would also add ironx to remove the iron contaminants from the paint.

It is a good idea to have many microfiber towels with you. Fold it into 4's and you actually get 8 sides to work with.

I would recommend swapping the applicator every few panels.

Reload is a maintenance product. It is a silica spray sealant. From my understanding it is not meant to be used to remove dust. You would use it as a "coating booster". For dust removal a quick detailer or waterless wash type product is what you are looking for. The new Ech2o product comes to mind. You can continue to use Meguiar's ultimate quik detailer but you will be masking the hydrophobic properties of the coating. Thus me recommending Ech2o mixed as a detail spray.

The rest of your steps looks fine. An hour in between coats seems to be the normal wait time between coats based on various forums I have read. Wipe off time will be dependent upon the temperature and humidity in your area.

Welcome to the forum. I went thru 5 small suede clothes, the ones wrapped around the applicator, fir a Nissan Pathfinder to give you an idea.

Definitely pick up some Eraser if you can. Also, get yourself some good lighting to check your work. That is key in success. There is a thread on lighting that a meme bear came up with to give you an idea.

Finally, a great link to give a read...

It may be a bit if reading but you want to be prepared for success.

instalher - on ref to your statement , there is no slickness to the touch..
Coatings in general are not slick. As a matter of fact, if you did not take water to the panel, and just felt it, you would think it has not been LSP'ed. "WE" are in the mindset of slick.

With the said, I would def. use Reload as a topper once you've put down your coating.
NIGHT and day difference in terms of slickness.

However, more pro's can chime in, I don't know which technically will stay cleaner due to surface. Just the coating, or the one with Reload. I'm doing some unscientific testing this season to see myself

One more thing if you're ordering. Order the large suedes for buffing. I like these alot for final buff off. They're really the cats paw !
