Rustoleum paint over spray

Two cans of Rustoleum paint were used to paint outdoor furniture, in my garage, and the overspray has covered my car. I used CQuartz 1 year ago, and I regularly use Reload. My car looks fine but the surface has a sandpaper feel. So, what should I do? Will using a clay bar ruin my CQuartz? Should I just ignore the sandpaper feel and hope it just wears off? Thanks in advance.

Use lots of clay Lube and don't use a heavy hand with the clay and the coating should be fine. I would follow up wash with Reset and hit it with Reload to rejuvenate the coating or polish with Essence Plus.

Hi!
I bought the Mothers Speed Clay 2.0, and all I can say is wow. Super easy to use, it pulled up all the overspray paint, and for the lube I used Reload. Wiped the finish with a microfiber cloth and in an about an hour I was done.

I'm not so sure about using Reload for a clay lube though. Have you had the car outside yet to ensure you don't have any streaking on the exterior? Reload is a product you want to use the minimal amount of or you will get streaking. Typically you want to use either a quick detailer or ONR or a product like that as a lube. Just a note for next time you use the clay ;)

Glad you were able to get it taken care of.

Yes, I have had my car outside, top down too. No streaks. I used several new microfiber towels during my claying so I think that helped. Next time I will use a quick detailer, but I didn't have any at the time and I was impatient with the overspray sitting on the finish. I know using Reload was over kill.

Also, I did clay the windows and the front and back plastic bumpers.

I didn't know you can use Reload inside on leather! I plan on doing that today.
