Seek advice on customers using automatic car washes

My customers keep asking if they can use automatic car washes .
Of course, I recommend hand washes, BUT I still need some advice
Should they use only the simple wash?
Will the detergents and/or liquid/foam waxes harm the coatings?
 
I try to get people to come back in to me for washes, the soaps and waxes in the car washes will leave a film behind that takes away from a coatings abilities.
