The Junker Kia and Carpro Essence

This was a "hand" application of Essence last week on my 2001 Spectra GS.

Yes, it worked me a little, but nothing unusual, it worked akin to like applying a not too difficult Hand Glaze, or a Paint Cleanser Product.

And yep, after completed, the paint was pristine clean. I can understand how this product is ideal for the initial step before applying a Coating.

Then was onto Carpro Reload, and yep, I got worked again. Temps were about 55F degrees in the shade. was still seeing the faint oily holograms of old, and caused me to do multiple wipedowns with lots of towels at periodic intervals.

After a couple hours of rest, the paint did look mighty nice though, and could find no flaw, considering we're talking a 16 year old vehicle that's gone through lots of wear and tear and age.

Looking back in retrospect, I probably applied Reload haphazardly, and forgot to read up on Corey's suggested methods beforehand. I seem to recall some saying to perhaps spray onto an MF Towel, then apply. And to also perhaps come behind with a dampened MF Towel after a period of time as a final wipe.

The dampened towel may have had a two-fold advantage, by also reducing any static charge build-up on the paint surface.

Hi Mark,

Have you tried the other ways of applying RELOAD?

I tinker prior to use, kinda like decided which pad and polish combo before moving forward. Although no set in stone, the lighter colors seem to be fine with spraying on the paint directly. With dark colors, sometimes on the paint sometimes on the towel. Regardless, I keep a second towel to "buff" and a third damp.

No product should be so difficult apply. The first iteration of Reload was a winner. Just go back to that formula. I got a sample bottle of Reload with my Black Friday order but have not tried it yet.
