We are bringing in the Tornador Black very soon and curious about the vacuum attachment. I elected not to carry the Tornador vac attachment for now but was curious if anyone reputable has tested it.

I'm first on the list to get one of these when Corey gets them in :) Can't wait!

I may be third on the list then to buy one from me :) certainly I must test it right!?

I just looked at that Vac attachment. Certainly seems like a good idea especially when doing a vehicle with sand or pet hair. I would rather see one in action or a good review video B4 I spend that kind of coin tho.

I'd like to see a test - I live in a sand-heavy area, so anything to make vacuuming particles easier is a plus.

I have the Tornador Black and it is my go-to for cutting fast through dirt and grime. I've always been curious about the vac attachment. Can't wait to see a review on that!

I am with Jim, I always wanted a Tornado. Let me know when you get them in Corey.

I've got the Evergreen (nanoskin) one, which I believe to be very similar.

I LOVE it, it's a bit clumsy at times having two hoses hooked up to it but it helps so much when cleaning carpets or seats. I also have the Tornador Black and really enjoy that as well.

I'd say pick them up Corey!

How exactly does the Tornador work? All the demos I've seen just look like a weak-ass compressor blowing on things and generally being useless and more like a fad.

A lot of people use low powered compressors with the first version of the Tornador, which uses more air than the black. This makes the first version under-perform and they aren't using it properly. The Tornador Black or this version that Corey will be getting in is a beast. It has a system that sprays chemical and then creates a VERY POWERFUL tornado type air blast that will get almost anything out.

We are testing it right now, more info to come ;)

I watched the video on it being used. If it works as well as the video shows on cleaning door and trunk jambs I'll buy one, hell I might buy two!

Here is my first hand account of the Tornador black. I use that tool ALL the time and could not imagine doing details without. I've only used it with APC solutions although I have heard of other types of application. The best way that that I've heard it described was in a thread on another forum in which the OP was looking for a comparison of usefulness between it (Tornador) and a steamer. The best comment and description is that "The Tornador is a chainsaw compared to the steamer which is a scalpel". It (Tornador) will cut through all kinds of stuff in a hurry and does it rather surprisingly well. It is not known for its finest but nooks and crannies don't stand a chance. Can you accomplish the same out of a steamer? Yes!, but you will spend a little more time finessing the steamer.

My Tornador operates at 90 PSI on a 30 gallon shop compressor, and does not skip a beat. It works with or without solution and will drive nasty dirt and grime out of a dingy carpet in a hurry (and push compressed air to drive dirt and dust out of vents, crevisses etc..). Because it does deliver liquid (which you can control with a valve on the side) you can drive it to liquify caked on dirt in gaskets, oily residue in door jambs, and embedded dirt in canvas tops. I also use it to detail engine bays ;) Because it deliver liquids, you do have to be careful with perforated leather. The cyclonic action of the tip does create a "lift" effect (same as a Tornado, hence the name). It never ceases to amaze me how much it works. Would I buy another one if this one died?? HECK YEA!

Here is a video of me cleaning some leather seats. Lifted that embedded dirt right up!! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=588002524595459&set=vb.140247069371009&type=3&video_source=pages_video_set

Actually used the Tornador in my pre-treatment of this NASTY carpet before extraction

Looks impressive. Watched some vids on youtube showing how good it is on cloth seats and my question is where does the dirt go? It just blows so is it pushing the dirt into the fabric or is it spraying it out all over the interior?

I've asked myself the same question and with my experimentation on all types of fabric I can say that some moisture does drive in but that most of the solids/dirt/grime get lifted to the surface. You do have to be careful not to over-saturate the upholstery, but the valve on the side helps with reducing the liquid accordingly, and then you can close it to "lift" the moisture (I would rather call it chasing the moisture)

Claude,

Not that you would know this but what is the minimum size compressor needed? I'm looking at the Tornador Blow Out Gun. I have a P.C. 6 gallon compressor, the pancake one Lowes sells.

Thanks,

Steve
