hey guys, i am currently using 3m buffing compounds with decent results for rotary, i am still looking to purchase a nice orbital polisher so any recommendations would be nice. and also what are you guys using for compunds and polishes? here is a black vehicle that has a before pic, after polish pic, and after reload is applied. i want perfection. just trying to get the right product line with technique. i also have essence and a gloss pad coming in that i am excited to try.

My recommendation for an orbital is the Rupes 21 MKII.
I'm a big fan of using a 5" backing plate on the 21.

I use the Rupes 21 with the Meguiars 5" microfiber discs.
For a polish Essence does a great job with the above combo.

BTW - GREAT WORK!

what about essence with the foam gloss pad? is there a reason to use the mf over the foam?

i fixed the pic mistake also...

I like the Megs 5" mf discs as they do correction and finishing in one step.
The Gloss pad (IMHO) finishes out excellent but does not offer correction.

i will get some pics loaded asap, right now im a one man shop so not much time as most of you understand.

So i tried out essence and im very happy with the results. like you guys said really no cut with the gloss pad but tons of gloss. i have my black truck that i cut, polished with 3m and then gloss with essence.
Then i have another customer vehicle that received the same treatment and heres a 50/50 shot
and finally I have another customer vehicle that just received a rotary polish and final polish without essence and 2 coats of CQ classic
