The scratches are one the side mirrors. The water spots are noticeable when you look thru the side mirrors. Is there a fix or do I live with it. The vehicle glass in from 1997. Thanks, roadtripx

If I understand correctly; the scratches are on the mirrored surface (not the paint)? If this is the case, most likely they are not coming out. However you may be able to remove the water spots and make the scratches less noticeable. I would NOT recommend polishing the mirror surface with a machine, as the film coating is extremely thin and very easy to burn through with a machine. However a drop or two of polish on either a piece of polishing pad or a microfiber towel (I prefer a piece of pad) and working it gently by hand will quite possibly do the trick. Go slow and check your work often, step up aggressiveness as needed.

Thanks,I will give that a try. The scratches and water spots are on the glass.

Whatever you do, don't use spotless on mirror material.

Could you care to elaborate on this Corey?

I have used Spotless on my side mirrors without any ill effects

Sprayed directly. Worked the product with a small MF applicator, rinsed and washed with Reset right away.

Yes sir, I will say you are maybe lucky, OR maybe there are different finishes on some mirrors. Some of them can get stained or cloudy with water spot removers.

Good to know thanks Corey.
