When to use Hydofoam / Reset / Reload

Hi all, I'm new here and getting kinda confusion on when to use what.. I just two coats CQUK and Reload my S3, came out looking great, but I do have some streakings from Reload I think, so I picked up Hydofoam in hope to wash off the streakings after 7 days when it's ok to wash the car..

But this is where I got confused, is Hydofoam a substitute for Reload since it has coating properties just like Reload? If I Hydofoam my car now, do I still need another Reload coat? And if I keep using Hydofoam say once a month or so, do I even need to use Reset??? Can someone please give me a rough timeline on what to use when? Thanks!!
 
First of all, welcome to CarPro Forums!

Reload and Hydr02foam are both sealants, but they are very different products.

Reload lasts longer than Hydr02foam, and can be used as a topper for Cquartz coatings or as a stand alone product for paint protection.

I think of Hydr02foam as a good alternative for a quick sealant, and a very good, quick choice for keeping Cquartz coatings fresh and boosted.

Reset is a total different shampoo product than HydroFoam. Whereas Hydro2foam is meant to wash and protect in one step, Reset is awesome in just cleaning your paint at its best.

I would do this timeline:

* Wash with Reset as you see fit.
* Reload once every 4 or 6 months.
* Iron X every 6 months.
* Use Hydro2foam ONLY if im in a hurry or feeling lazy.

Havent found a problem with Reload, and its been really efortless to apply overall.

Welcome Larbel!

No you do not need to use RELOAD after washing with RESET. Depending on maintanance plan and environment, RELOAD is a sealant that lasts up to 6 months, sometimes longer sometimes shorter.
Yes, you can use Hydrofoam right on top of ReLoad.
You don't need to use Hydrofoam with every wash. It can last up to 3 months once used. Reset will be fine for for your normal wash.

Quick question, did you apply the CQUK?

Thank you Steve! Yup.. As retarded as I'm to detailing, managed to apply CQUK and Reload myself. My only problem was I didn't check for streaks in different lightings, it looked perfect by the time I finished, but found streaking here and there the next day outdoor when not in direct sunlight.
 
Hey, we all start out somewhere and I wouldn't beat yourself up. If the streaking is the CQUK, the way to address it is to repolish the panel and reapply.

With that said just wash with Reset normally, then wash with Hydrofoam when needed, again depending on your situation and environment.

With CQUK, don't use soap for first 7 days. 7-30 days use ReSet and water, then after 30 days the coating should be fully cured.

If I use Reload, it is an hour after application of CQUK, IF the vehicle is going to be outside with a possibility of being exposed to rain.
If you can keep the car in a garage overnight after CQUK application, I like to wait 30 days before applying Reload. That's just me...

I will be applying cquartz uk for the first time. I live in NYC and most cars including mine stays outdoors either parked on tje street or driveway. My understanding isci need to apply reload 1hr after application correct? What will happen ifnit rains the next day? Also i thoigh itbfully cured in 48hrs

So heres my deal.
Had the car ceramic coated with CQUK 3.0 and PPF. They cured it for about 24 hours indoors. When I picked it up it was raining and I drove it home. Now it's dirty and I want to wash it. This all happened last Thursday (now it's Monday).

I ordered a bunch of things on Amazon (reset, elixir, Hydro2 Lite). Not sure what I should use to wash it. Just reset?
or Should I do reset, and then Elixir as a drying aid?

I also ordered a foam cannon, some high quality micro fiber towels, some wash mitts and 2 buckets. Just not sure how to get the most out of my ceramic coating that I paid so much for and I want my car to be shiny :)

Hydrofoam and Reload are different products with different purposes and uses.
