Just picked up an ultra white Lexus. Very pretty paint. Very bright and luminous white with a pearl finish to it.

Have a coat of sonus sfx4 on it which is a pure sealant.

Looking to knock the shine and wetness game out of the park and would like to finally get a decent concourse type wax to coat over the sealant and touch up every few months. Looked into Vic's red but looks more for dark colors and application by hand turns me off. Also looking at stuff in the quality an price range of p21 pure carnauba and blackfire midnight sun.

Also not sure if a nuba for $30-40 is a waste of money and if I should just keep layering coats of sealant.

Let me know your opinions. Thanks!!!

Vic's hybrid or yellow(collectors) are great choices. Can't go wrong with either one. They are priced cheap but are really high quality waxes. I would probably choose the Yellow by a hair personally in your case but the hybrid will last a bit longer.

Will the hybrid and yellow both go over my sealant without weakening it and can you apply yellow with a hand applicator?

Main thing I'm looking for is a topper that won't interfere with my sfx4

Yes, either will work well and yes a hand applicator would also be just fine.

Nothing wrong with a liquid, as long as it's good! Collinite 845, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0, Menzerna Powerlock, Duragloss #111, or if paste and you like cheap, then Colly 915 or 476.

Not sure how much of your initial product will be left after topping? If you're concerned about keeping that, maybe just Duragloss Aquawax after a wash?

I'll be keeping an eye on this post, new Oxford White Mustang GT convertible here.

If your looking for a traditional wet applied sealant there isn't anything better than Sonus Ion. Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection is awesome as well.

For wax it's really a take your pick from the Vic's line.

For a traditional spray wax go Four Star Spray wax and don't look back.

There is a lot of marketing of different labels out there but the ones I carry and listed above are the real deal from the companies that actually make their own products without the fluff marketing.

I know the OP was asking about a wax specifically, however if you are not going to install a coating I would suggest looking at Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection (with carnauba). I rarely use sealants anymore, however this is my all time favorite http://www.carpro-us.com/four-star-u...tection-16-oz/ and can still be found on my shelf today. I've compared the look of it to "many" high dollar "waxes" and have come to the conclusion that the shine, slickness, and wetness are nothing short of amazing! Here is a classic "Corey Review" for 4*UPP

A very enjoyable read (IMHO)...

I was originally planning on coating the Saleen we picked up a few weeks ago with Finest, but decided not to waste the coating on it due to the condition of the paint. The car will probably be repainted maybe next winter. But here is a picture of it with CG EZ-Creme followed by Pete's 53. This is a great combo and really looks good on the car.

Congrats on your new purchase, particularly a Lexus! I own 2 Lexus IS250 and IS350 too. The newer one is pearl white. From my experience of trying out so many products including the cheap to most expensive wax to sealant to glaze to coating. I will share with you what I find the winning combination:
1. Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze + Reload! This thing blinds your eyes under the sun.
2. CQuartz UK paint coating!

Pics will come soon.

I find that CQUK makes the paint shines like a mirror. It adds some depth to it and pop the pearl out. It also darkens the white just a little bit in a good way.

2 coats of CQUK 7 days after application, white paint mirror reflection vs REAL mirror reflection:

Carnauba is always a perfect choice for pure and pearl white cars. I also have a Lexus and my best solution has been Collinite No. 476 Super Doublecoat. The auto wax is essentially permanent and it outshines the other average waxes.
A white car immediately reveals any spots such as bugs, tar, road film, and so on. The best wax for white cars should therefore increase the vehicle’s surface tension in order to make these elements glide off instead of sticking.
Brazilian Carnauba is loved by pro detailers due to its rich and deep gloss that leaves your car with an extensive shimmer that survives the weather and elements such as UV, oxidation, heat among other pollutants.
It also features synthetic polymer elements that bond with the car paint forming a hard coat that hold for up to an year depending upon the conditions of use. This awesome combination of wax and sealant is hard to get and Collinite’s shelf life is also long.
