Hi Gang,
Sorry to post it this way but I have twice started a thread only to have my computer kick me off and loose what I had written down.
I was lucky enough to have received a free sample of Scholl Concepts S20 Black compound to try. This compound touts the ability to finish in "one step." I have copied and pasted from Car Pro's store the new compounds abilities...
Finishes to an incredibly gloss even on soft paints
Removes p2000-1500 grit defects
Saves time and steps
Won't stick to paint even on hot surfaces
No dusting
Intelligent Powder Technology (iPT)
Free of wax, silicone, and toxic solvents
Body Shop Safe - Silicone and wax free
So the test subject was a 2000 Honda CR-V that was protected by RELOAD v. 2015. The car's drive door was used for this demonstration. prep included a dose of Car Pro's IRON X and then a wash using RESET via Foam Cannon. This was followed by a rinse with the Pressure washer and then dried. The door was taped into two sections. From here on in the Left side of the tape line was corrected with the Lake Country H.D. BLUE cut pad and the right was corrected by Lake Country's H.D. Orange polish pad.

The machine used was my FLEX 3401. I used the same application and techniques for both sides. Pads had 4 drops of S20 Black applied to them, pads were primed and another 4 drops dabbed on.

S20 Black was then applied onto paint using a speed of "3" then speed was increased to "5" using moderate pressure and a slightly higher arm speed above slow. 4 passes were made then my arm pressure was lessened and arm speed slightly increased. I worked the product in to the point of needing to remove it with a "Yellow Fellow" M.F. towel. Finished results below...

This area had hairline scratches but I apologize since the initial photos did not capture them.
