All weather mats and coating them

Hi guys, curious question here. Has anyone tried coating some all weather floor mats with any of the coatings (leather/fabric/professional)?
Up here in Alaska they get extremely dirty and hard to clean all the nooks and crannies. It would be great if I could use one of the coatings safely on them to ease the cleaning process!

I've thought about it. I would probably coat with Dlux after a good cleaning with APC and Eraser. I would only be afraid they'd be slick.
