I have a 2012 Camaro SS which I applied Essence/Reload to a little over a year ago. My car isn't garaged, so it's exposed to the elements 24/7. I do maintain the Essence/Reload every 3 months with a Hydrofoam wash.
Today I did my annual strip wash/clay/trix/Essence/Reload.
I had to do a second APC wash to strip remaining protection. I did the 1st strip wash, clay alternative, then Trix, and the paint was still beading and sheeting water, to a small degree, but the protection was still present. A second strip wash was required to get the remaining protection off.
Throughout the course of the year, my paint has had bird droppings, bug splatter, calcium deposits and lime deposits on the paint. Some occasions they remained for several hours (4-5) in the hot summer sun while I was at work. Not once did I have any etching on the paint whatsoever.
If you have used Essence, you already know it saves so much time versus a normal finishing polish, and produces very high gloss.
The durability is also outstanding. It went a year easily, and would have gone even longer based upon what I had to do to get the paint "naked" today.
If you haven't used Essence yet, try it. It's magic in a bottle!
