CarPro Iron-X samples in action

CarPro Iron-X is a product every detailer should have in their arsenal. Using a clay bar only shaves the contaminates off of the surface of the paint which will make the paint feel smooth and clean, but the contamination is stuck deeper than that. When applying paint coatings that are sensitive to imperfections, removing this contamination is critical.

The best part is that CarPro Iron-X is only $19.99 at CarPro-US. At that price point, it can be an effective wheel cleaner and paint decontamination chemical. But I wouldn't recommend it as a weekly wheel cleaner. I personally only use Iron X when a typical All Purpose Cleaner is not effective or fast enough for the job.

What is the best way to use IronX? I bought the purple/pink stuff and haven't used it yet.. Just purchased CQuartz UK last night so I want to get this system down before then..

I'm figuring it's pretty straight forward but would like to know for sure... Thanks!

What is the best way to use IronX? I bought the purple/pink stuff and haven't used it yet.. Just purchased CQuartz UK last night so I want to get this system down before then..

This is my basic step by step instructions. For me this gets the best results.

Step One -Carefully wash your vehicle using HD Wash or your favorite car soap
Step Two - Clay bar then entire vehicle using a gentle clay bar or claying mitt
Step Three - Carefully dry the entire car. Some water left behind won’t effect the Iron-X
Step Four - Spray Iron-X across the entire car. No need to soak the car, a very fine mist will work just fine
Step Five – Let Iron-X sit for 5 minutes in the shade. Don’t let it dry in direct sun *
Step Six – Spray a little bit of Iron-X on a foam applicator then agitate GENTLY. This will help evenly spread Iron-X across the car
Step Seven – Thoroughly rinse the entire vehicle and wash again

The Iron X Snow Soap is a great "prep shampoo" In other words its going to do a very good job of cleaning and removing a wide range of material from the paint but it won't remove the iron particles as well as the Iron X spray does.

If you don't use a foam cannon the way to use IXSS is:

1. Thoroughly rinse the vehicle
2. Wet the mitt
3. One squirt of IXSS directly on the mitt
4. Wash one panel (or more depending)
5. Rinse Mitt
6. Repeat steps 3-5 on next panel, etc
7. Thoroughly rinse vehicle
