CQUK Question

hi guys new to the forum and new to essence ,used the essence on my 2010 geranium red Tucson, the car has been well maintained and loved by me since new .I was blown away ,so then I was was so impressed with the gloss I decided to use cquartz uk edition to capture that shine for ever ( lol )at first I thought I had made a mistake it was a day latter that I applied the cquarts and it seemed to darken the slickness look of the essence I did apply reload that came with the kit after about 2hrs of waiting, I thought I had made a big mistake went to bed thinking I will strip everything and start over ,well the next day I was going through my routine in my head of what I had to do to get that amazing gloss/slickness back, so went to move my car to the back pad to start and hey holy moly it looked fantastic,a bit more depth or something ,had for me to describe ( I only do this for therapy )but again I was blown away ,My question to the forum is I am about to do the same app to my wife car , I have a small window ( weather wise to get it done )question , I knocked over my bottle of reload and the top was not secured my fault ,but I have some hydro2 lite that I use a lot of, love that stuff also can I use hydropro2 instead of reload to protect the cquarts while it cures I am kinda stuck as I wont be able to get any reload for quite sometime any advice will be appreciated I have scoured the forums to find the answer to my ? but cant find this info I am afraid to just leave the cquarts to cure with nothing to protect it over night as we get a either a heavy dew or a touch of frost at night, and the car sits outside sorry about the long post

Hello bluedunn, (fly fisherman perhaps)?

In this case I would suggest not using Hydro2 on freshly coated paint, I would stick with Reload. Sorry to hear of the unfortunate mishap with your bottle. If you are in the US, PM me your address and I'll send you out a few ounces of Reload so that you may complete the task at hand. Free of any charge of course.
 
avid fly fisherman ,you must be also as you know what a bluedun is lol thanks for the advice and the very kind offer unfortunately I live in Canada ,I might have to beg my brother to let me use his garage or something but I will not use the hydro as you advised just hate to see the work be shot through my own neglect and stupidy I wonder if I should remove the cquarts before it sets completely and just cover with hydro until I get some reload then start over any thoughts on that process ?

Yes a very avid fisherman here as well!

No, do NOT remove the CQUK! Keep the vehicle dry for 24 hours after application and you will be fine.

indeed he is ,very generous indeed I will try and post pics at a latter date once I am done with the whole process from start to finish I need to lay down for about 2 weeks to recover I am getting too old for this lol
 
its all a mute point for me now on this just had the car broken into, so now I will wait until it gets back from the shop and let it sit with just the cquart
until spring then start over again thanks for the help cant post pics of the damage

I agree, went to the cops, because the insurance company need a police report ,it was like pulling teeth to get them to even look at the vehicle, I know they are busy ,but when I told them I would kill the b*****d,s all of a sudden they get concerned for the criminals well being that really p***ed me off, oh well. ps I don't have an update yet on the cquk until I get the car back from the shop ,I left strict instructions for the dealership :Not: to wash the car in any shape or form ,I usually do this any way so hopefully it will all work out in the end
