Hello,
First post and as my username suggests I am a gm tech in the business for 17 years ASE Master and gm world class certified, volt certified. Before anyone says something, yes the mention of "dealer induced swirls" drives me nuts. I go out of my way to protect customers vehicles and would never let our detail or automatic car wash touch my truck. People just don't care. :(
Getting ready to apply Cquartz to my Silverado this weekend. It has a coat of optimum gloss coat on it but have not been real happy with the protection so I am gonna give Cquartz a try with the long weekend coming up.
I may post my plan of attack in the forums.
Anyhoo, Hello all.

Also thanks Corey for the vids, definitely helps. Oh and we must be the two Corey's. My name is Cory C.

Welcome Cory to CPF!

:welcome:

Lots of GREAT folks here.

I'm looking forward to seeing your "plan of attack" and some before and after pictures.

Reload and ECH2o are your friends for keeping the fresh "look and feel" on a coated finish.

BTW - Thank you for trying to save vehicles from the Dealer Installed Swirl Option (DISO).

Thanks. Will be using reload as well and will need to look into ECH2o.

This is last year after applying gloss coat.

Welcome to the forum. Be sure to post up photos when the truck is all done. That color should really pop.

Thanks.
Got the front end polished tonight and erased, man that's some strong smelling stuff. Think I have a good majority of towels to throw away as when I got done with eraser a couple towels left some light scratches that I had to polish again. All in all though progress is going good

Got it all done. Here is a couple quick shotsIMG_1455.JPGIMG_1467.JPG

Had a chat with Corey and was very helpful about the process. Overall was very easy
