You heard it fellas! The revolutionary new foam pad from CarPro is now available in 5" Click here for exact specs and details!

I got a chance to test them this evening on my Rupes 21 using the 5" backing plate. Anyway, this image below gives you an idea of the matchup on an exact fit 5" O.D. backing plate. So, on the downside the velcro side should be about 1/16" larger all the way around but its no biggie for me. I easily center this perfectly. (Rupes and the 5" BP I purchased from Kevin Brown of course!) The CarPro 5" Flash Pad performs PERFECT and I actually like it better than 6" Flash pad!! As many of you know 6" is the size pad I use most with other foams but I definitely prefer 5" with the Flash pad. It compresses slightly better than the 6" size (less foam to compress) and truly works magic in a matter of a few passes!!

So, to recap...

  • Cut is AMAZING (literally second to none)
  • Finish is hard to believe
  • Durability of Flash pads = top shelf
  • Be careful near mirrors and adjacent panels if the BP you are using is more than 4 7/8". Actually we should always be careful in these areas regardless... But point made.

Send me your 6" Flash pads if unused!!! I got you covered ;);) Will replace them with the 5" in a heartbeat. That offer stands for anyone for the next 7 days.
 
Corey, are the 6 inch flash pads still going to be carried by you or not since the 5 inch ones came out, don't see them anymore and usually when something is out if stock the product picture remains. Just curious.
 
Now that's a cool offer! I'll send them out tomorrow. Never used.

Thanks bud! Yes... Long story but you will see the 6" pop back up this week!
 
Interesting that the Velcro is 4 7/8" on the 5", but the 6" pad is actually 6 1/4"?

What does the Velcro on the 6 1/4" Flash Pad measure?


I had the BP on my FLEX cut down to 5.3" for a perfect fit on the CarPro Denim Pads and a great fit on 5 1/2" CCS Pads....Kind of caught in the middle


Would the 6 1/4" pads work well with a 5 3/10" BP ?

The 5" Pad is 4 7/8" velcro and 5 1/8" O.D. on the foam face
The 6" Pad is 5 7/8" velcro and 6 1/4" O.D. on the foam face

The 6" Pad on your 5 3/10" plate works fine - Just a bit of overlap but center it and your golden!

I echo Corey on this post! The pad is sooooo stiff that you don't need to fear the BP cutting into the velcro backing as you apply perimeter pressures
