New CarPro Product?

It can be used as a topper. How long ago did you apply the UK?

I’m debating on getting this to put on my wife’s car or going with my original plan of JesCar and 845. Dammit CarPro[emoji1787][emoji23][emoji28]

1 Week Cooter. I have no intention of applying the product but am curious as to whether or not there would be any advantages as a topper over UK or UK 3.0.

I would stick with Gliss if you want slickness. Lite has a similar feel to CQUK 3.0.

I don’t quite understand why the bottle is so big. I have bought other products in large bottles like this and threw away 2/3s of the bottle. Would it have killed them to sell a 50mm bottle?

Professionals go through more product than someone like you and I.

I like to experiment on my vehicles first before I use anything on a customer's car. I look forward to trying this. I'm on the fence about Carpro stepping down to the consumer market. I fear that folks who just wash and apply may not see the lasting results compared to someone who properly preps the paint before applying. The average consumer may give bad reviews based on their improperly applied product.

I like to test products before I use them on a client vehicle.
This includes application, ease of use, results, customer expectations etc.

Many of the items Carpro sells are for the consumer market. (Reset, Reload etc.)

Folks that just "wash and apply" will not see the longevity of a true "bottle" product.

Lite means Lite!
Lite is designed to be much easier to apply and remove over a "bottle" ceramic coating.
Obviously a "spray and wipe" will not even have the same thickness as two thick coats.

Where I see a fit is:
Mobile guys that do not have a indoor "clean room" environment. (48 hours cure time etc.)
Production car wash "Blow and Go" folks that need quick, easy, and a fairly descent longevity.
This could even work for the "Tunnel O' Swirls" folks. Wash car, clay car, coat car, next.
These folks don't want something that lasts as they are in the repeat customer business.

Hence why a smaller bottle should be offered.:D

In the big picture we as an enthusiast are not the target market. The other option is finding more cars or areas to put it on if someone is so intent on using it up so fast.

CQUK 3.0 and TiO2 are consumer based coatings and they perform quite well. Actually the entire line available to us is on the consumer side. So Lite will do just fine and it won't hurt CarPro's reputation.

Merlin hit it right on the head about where this product fits. Some people don't want to pay for a full correction and coating and Lite would fit that need. Also there are people who are leery about coatings and this would make a perfect product to try before going to a CQUK 3.0 or TiO2.

Did you know you can apply it to trim and glass?

Is the LITE comparable to Gliss in terms of appearance, hydrophobicity and depth? My son broke my bottle of Gliss after I applied it to 2 door panels and I'm debating whether to re-order the Gliss or try the LITE

We just had to pick up a new car for my wife after the 10yr old springs exploded and it was going to cost more to fix than it was worth.

I wouldn’t mind testing this for durability here in Ohio but I sure won’t have the post count for this giveaway. So good luck to those that do.

How would this work over CQUK+TiO2 as that is what I am planning on putting on the car.

Good News!

Cquartz Lite comes in a plastic bottle!

I just applied CQ Lite to 2 cars today.
Cross apply and wipe off a panel at a time.
IMHO faster and easier than wax on/wax off!

Sorry to hear about your wife's car.

You have the post count. (A minimum of 10 posts is suggested)
I would enter if I were you...what could it hurt?
I believe it can be layered on top of CK UK 3.0.

Thanks Merlin.

We had already been looking at vehicles and we were prepared that something could happen at any time. So that part was fine.

The crazy thing was we were just home and I was out grilling when I heard this odd spring pop and couldn’t figure out what it was. At least not until I move the car and found debris under that are and then pulled the wheel.

I will gladly enter if I qualify. I could add this to my other 2 CQ, CQUK long term reviews. Kinda sad you don’t see people doing these long term reviews much.

Personally I would love to see one on CQ pro or Finest.

Hahahahahaha!!!! Okay, now that that's out of the way, forgetting longevity, how does Lite compare with Gliss?

What are you looking for? If you are looking for slickness then stick with Gliss. Also CQ Lite hardens on the applicator unlike Gliss which stays flexible on the applicator. From the perspective of water beading it is the same as they both have the same contact angle.

Thanks for the quick response! Much appreciated! I'm more interested in self-cleaning properties/ease of washing - and gloss. I tend to use rinseless washes 90% of the time.

Also, I'm anticipating that given the TiO2 content of Lite the look is different from Gliss. I know this aspect is so very subjective, but how does the appearance differ between the two coating (topper)s. My daily driver is a steel blue (light blue B45) with metallic flakes

If I can win a bottle of this new coating I will test it against TacSystems Moonlight and Gyeon Can Coat. I’ve got both Moonlight and Can Coat ready to go. I’ll put down a base of Essence to try and get the maximum durability. I won’t spray Reload over the top, I’ll just give it 48 hours to cure before it sees daylight.
