2013 Audi S4 Track clean-up

This was intended to be an all carpro detail, but some aspects did require the use of a couple additional products. The owner of this car takes it to the track many times per year and it hasn't gotten a true detail since new (estimating 12 track events, 20+ days. The car has a moderate tune, pulley on the supercharger, valved custom exhaust, BBK and some other go-fast bits. The car is also not maintained very well, infrequent washing, never clayed, never sealed. We agreed on getting it well cleaned prior to winter then doing a more intensive paint correction in the spring when the owner can actually see the difference.

Process
Wheels cleaned with Megs DUB, then Iron-x paste
Tires cleaned with tuf shine
Whole car IX'd while still dry, iron-x was spread with a grout sponge
Whole car foamed with IX snow soap
While foam dwelled, tight areas and badges were agitated with a boars hair brush then foam was pressure rinsed
2BM was done using Reset
Clayed with the nanoskin pad on the DA and ONR as lube
Trix was used on the rockers to remove rubber, but I had to up the anti and use tarminator to get it fully cleaned
Clearbra edges were cleaned with tarminator and q-tips
Exhaust build-up was cleaned with KAIO
Whole car was sealed with Reload
Tires, rubber and plastic were dressed with PERL 3:1

Hi BBK, you've been busy. Calipers agitate during wash

Much better, but a CV let go at some point and there is still some heavy grease build up that will require wheel removal. This will get addressed when winter wheels go on in a few weeks.

BBK has been VERY busy. The whole car was sprayed, note the abrupt stop in significant color change. The roof did react, but it was pretty minimal

Still bleeding heavily through the snow foam

Tar and misc. build up after 2BM and clay

Test spot with KAIO to clean the exhaust residue

And some finished shots

Clearbra taken care of

And the general gloss shots

Take about elbow grease!

What a job and turnaround. Thanks for sharing.

WOW! lots of iron fallout!

Great work and outcome on the Audi. Got any comments from the owner on IX reacting pics? ;)

I did prepare her for the reaction, but she was still shocked when she saw it. The car was done at another persons house, they were in awe of the reaction. I finished the white one around noon. Then started on the home owner's car, that was done about 9pm and he jokingly said the white one was probably still turning purple.

Nice work!

Dude..Can you say purple?

That's a lot of iron. Probably works at a recycling center for metal. [emoji62]

WOW, I don't know if I have ever seen that much Iron-X action. Awesome turnaround, nice photos!

Crazy. Maybe the car sits under a sprinkler system with high iron in the water.
