CARPRO RELOAD v. 2015 Review

Another happy v.15 customer here. Reload replaced a few other WOWA-type products I used to use, and I'm happy to say that the (minimal) extra application efforts make a clear difference in overall value!

Today I am going to use Reload after applying the Essence Extreme Gloss Enhancer. I have both the 2014 version and the previous version. Would I be better off using the earlier version until I can get my hands on the 2015 version? Previously I did try the 2014 version and had streaking issues with it. How long do I need to wait after applying the Essence Extreme before using the Reload?

2 - Do I have to use Eraser between Essence and CQuartz?

If your using Essence by machine and you wait until the vehicle is finished then you can apply Reload or CQuartz after you finish the vehicle starting in the same direction you polished. If you want to be ultra safe you can still Eraser but in our testings to date we have not seen any failure when we skipped Eraser.
If your using Essence by hand then we recommend you use Eraser before coating.

As far as using RELOAD, have three towels, one for applying, one for buffing , and a slightly damp one to address streaks as needed. The lighter the car, I apply it directly to the paint. The darker, I'lol apply it to the towel then put the towel to the car.

Check the bottom of the bottle for the experation dates.

What happens to Reload after the expiration date? Less durable? More streaking? My 2014 version was past the expiration date (08-16) and I did have some streaking. It took some extra wiping with a clean MF towel to remove it, but thanks to the expert tips on this forum it turned out OK. I did have it diluted 1:1 and I'm sure that helped too. Last night I ordered some of the 2015 formula.

The Essence Extreme Gloss was a pleasure to work with too!

re: expiration dates. Shall we take a deep dive discussion further

Aside from coatings (which once exposed to air, they do eventually get tackier), I think every other car detailing product relatively should have a 'finite lifespan. Polishes, etc may lose it liquid/solvent component. I know the marketing says Reload is WB, but whatever the smell is., sure is solvent. With something like Reload, when not in use, I would keep the sprayer head in the closed position, to mitigate evap. or said product.

I had reload in a spray bottle, cut 1:1...same spray bottles as my APC, interior cleaners, UWWP, etc. There is something in Reload that goes outgass-solvent out, as when I had my bottle just lying around, it was clearly distinct that 1/3 liquid had evapo out.

Thanks for the insight. I do store my detailing products in the kitchen pantry so it is temperature controlled which may help the lifespan.
I did have some streaking with the v 2014 though.

I just received my v.2015 and it doesn't say anything about diluting it for darker colors. Has anyone found it necessary to dilute it for use on darker colors?

I haven't had to dilute the v. 2015. With that said have the three towels, as was outlined in post 23 above, ready just in case.

Also, just keep the product shaken. I usually give a few shakes in between sprays.
