Crazy Pile Question

So I just washed my four brand new Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile on cold/gentle with Adam's microfiber revitalizer and brightener. I then put them in the dryer to tumble dry on low, and upon taking them out found a nice yellow generic (short nap kind of like the Yellow Fellow, but probably from Auto Zone) microfiber towel that was previously in the dryer and went along for the ride. So question is, have I ruined my coveted Crazy Piles? Should I do anything to make sure they're still perfect and made of clouds and unicorn tears?

Chad, I am assuming the yellow towel had already been washed. If so, the Crazy Piles should be fine. Look them over carefully for anything unusual and make sure there is no fibers from the other towel stuck to the CP towels. And don't do it again...lol

Chadg, thats a crazy Story! Never have realized this Problem with LONG PILE towels! For sure, we all know that short pile towels could attract small dirt dots, they can hold small particles in the fibers - but we dont know this Problem from Long pile towels like the Crazy Pile.

Anyway, this would mean that your yellow short pile towel (like a Yellow fellow towel) has lost so many fibers / lint, that this was inside the dryer? Sounds impossible for me or the towel was a real bad Quality towel... but usually a short pile towel couldnt lose so much fibers because there is nothing to lose! Crazy.

Beside of this, usually your dryer should have a "fluff filter" (hope this is the right word). If this filter wasnt full, These yellow fibers usually would go inside the filter and dont "fly arround" in the dryer...

Just to be sure: You can confirm that the yellow stuff wasnt inside the Crazy Pile before? We cannot imagine how it could come inside during the production and packing process, but just wanted to clear this point.

He didn't say he had anything on the Crazy Pile, he just said he found another cheap towel in the dryer with the Crazy Pile and wondered if it would hurt the Crazy Pile.

Haha, too bad... its too late over here in Germany, have to leave the Company and find some sleep ^^ Forget my writing and Focus on the first reply of Dark Horse. I read too fast and understood that there was yellow residue inside the CP towel. So in that case: I would say a short nap towel couldnt lose so many lint / fibers that they could go inside the CP fibers - so dont worry, if you dont see anything on the first view, everything is fine!

The offending cheap towel was indeed clean.

I just neatly folded and caressed my Crazy Piles placing them back in their bags and promising to never let them mingle with plebeian made in China microfiber towels ever again. I looked them over and think they're ok, now I just hope they'll forgive me!

Hahah!! lmao at plebeian!!

They're ruined! But since I'm a nice guy, send em to me and I'll properly dispose of them for you ;)

Haha, I'm so OCD that I'm triple washing each of the individually before I use them again! It's going to take like three days!

My MM summit towels lint a good amount. I'm surprised

How many fibers are you talking Chad? How can you tell they are from the edge?

Is it normal wear and tear to lose some fibers on the edges of the Crazy Pile after washing?

If you are talking just a few fibers from around the edges, then yes it is normal Chad. Don't worry about it. It has nothing to do with your invasive yellow towel hitching a ride buddy. Just shake them out very well after washing and you are good to go!

Sorry to here this buddy. I can't comment though as I don't have any of these particular towels. However (as you know) if you are unhappy with them for any reason Corey will fix it. Just drop him a PM or an email.

Regarding lose fibers on the edges of the towels:
This is a normal and unchangable reason of the ultrasonic cutting process. Because the towels are very fluffy / thick, they are very tough to cut with ultrasonic blades. So if the blade cuts the edge, sometimes some fiber residue is still "hanging" on the edge. Mostly this is removed during regular handling, use, washing, drying - sometimes you can pick some fibers with your Hands and remove them from the edge. Always take care not to pull too much on a "connected fiber residue" because in single cases, the lose fibers are not as lose as you expect and you possibly damage the edge of the towel.

Regarding the Summit I can only remember on the text we wrote about towel linting. There are many reasons why this could happen and usually any towel you buy is from the same production Batch. This means, usually there could not be any difference in lint. So if there is a lot of lint with one towel, the next one MUST have the same Problem. BESIDE it is not coming from the towel, maybe from a different application / product you use. Anyway, like Dark Horse wrote: If there is a lint Problem even after washing AND DRYER, then you should get in contact with your dealer for any suggestions to solve the Problem!

Yeah, my Summit's do as well. I commented on another thread on this forum about that as well. Both of mine lint a good amount. Had to switch to another towel.

After washing, there are a few "clumps" of fibers along the edge that are just hanging by a thread. The clumps are are maybe a few millimeters wide and kind of hang off the edge of the towel (they're still barely connected to the edge) maybe a 1/2 to 1 cm, and I did pull them off (maybe this was a bad move?). So far I've had a few Crazy Piles do this (3 out of my 8 total), and others that have not so it does sound like it may just be an effect of the ultrasonic cutting process since it sounds like there is some variability? They were also some of my newer ones, so maybe it's more common for them to shed after the first few washes/uses?

Thanks for your response. Yes, all 4 of my summits lint. I have washed them with MF detergent on the warm setting and air dried in the dryer. I will contact Corey.
